The Porsche 919 Hybrid has enjoyed many racing successes since its release in 2014, including the 24 Hours of LeMans. With its three consecutive victories in 2015, 2016 and 2017, it is considered the most successful model in endurance series racing over the last decade.
Before the start of the World Endurance Championship, the Porsche factory team had the chance to prepare for the 2017 season at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France. During the 30-hour test run, drivers Neel Jani, Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley, Earl Bamber, Andre Lotterer and Nick Tandy took turns to cover a total of 6,100 kilometres at a stretch. For the entire team, it was a successful preparation for the season, which they were able to crown with their third consecutive victory in the LeMans 24h race.
